Cox Cable's new Movie Pak costs $10 a month and includes several Encore channels and Epix channel (new and other movies). Here's an interesting angle to it:
Movie Pak subscribers also have access to epixhd.com and vutopia.com, where they can browse hundreds of titles, including hits like Iron Man or Star Trek and classics like Cool Hand Luke or A Streetcar Named Desire, all for free. Watching movies online is also a social activity, as Epix allows subscribers to invite up to four friends to watch the movie with them – part of the monitor is devoted to the streaming video, and part to a real-time chat among the viewers. Customers can use their cox.com username and password to gain access to epixhd.com and vutopia.com.
