Foxwoods readies St. Patrick's Day specials

Foxwoods Resort & Casino has a few St. Patrick's Day specials on tap for Thursday, March 17.

Cedars Steaks & Oysters is offering a Corned Beef Brisket Special. Including Corned Beef, Carrots, Cabbage, Red Bliss Potatoes and Grain Mustard, for a modest $23. That's a bargain at this place, one of the resort's most consistent restaurants.

I'm not a fan of the current frenzy to get everyone betting their leisure money on sports games, but the  DraftKings Sportsbook facility at Foxwoods is offering Loaded Reuben Fries for $15. That's Hand Cut Fries, Corned Beef, Sauerkraut, Melted Swiss Cheese and Thousand Island drizzle. You might call that a bit of March Madness for your digestive track, but I'm intrigued. Must be 21 or older. 

At the diner-variety Veranda Café, you can get an Irish breakfast or dinner, including a Bailey’s French Toast Casserole with an Irish Cream Whiskey Drizzle for $16 or a New England Boiled Dinner with Corned Beef, Carrots, Cabbage, Red Bliss Potatoes and Grain Mustard for $23.

In addition to the food, there's a Pot of Gold Kiosk Game starting at 9 a.m. Visit any Promotions Kiosk with your Foxwoods Rewards Card to play. Choose the right pot of gold and you could win bonus slot play, Foxwoods Rewards Points, a designer gold necklace or up to $5,000, says Foxwoods.
