'Snow way; we're not canceling Wine & Food Fest, says Mohegan Sun

Late word from Mohegan Sun:  The 18th Annual Sun Wine & Food Fest at Mohegan Sun began as scheduled Thursday evening, with events running through Sunday afternoon, despite the forecast of heavy snowfall Saturday.

There is a late pivot to help those planning to experience the signature event, however. If you choose not to attend the massive Grand Tasting Saturday, you can either get a refund at point of purchase OR attend the pre-storm Grand Tasting Preview Friday night at the same Earth Expo Center location from 8-10 p.m.

In a Mohegan release Thursday afternoon, President and General Manager Jeff Hamilton said, “We understand that parts of our region will be impacted by the impending weather, so we wanted to make sure to provide the opportunity for our Sun Wine & Food Fest guests to plan accordingly for our major event this Saturday. Whether it’s utilizing your Saturday tickets for Friday evening, or inquiring about a refund, we’re happy to assist.”

And, says Mohegan Sun, guests who utilize their Saturday Grand Tasting tickets to enjoy Friday evening’s Grand Tasting Preview are still welcomed to use the same ticket for the Grand Tasting.
